Let’s start simple. We take photos and make videos.
We like working with good people to create content that will promote their business, showcase their organisation, or create impact and inspire change. Sometimes that looks like a brand documentary or profile video, other times its a content session of the menu at a cafe. We like to keep things simple, and make great things.

Well, I'm the boss... Head Honcho. El Numero Uno. Mr. Big. The Godfather. Lord of the Rings. The Bourne... Identity. Er... Taxi Driver. Jaws. I forgot the question quite a while back. Who are you, again?"
Ok, so with that IT Crowd quote out of the way I can reveal that I am the man behind Relatable Creative. I actually wrote all of this website, so when I say “we” I’ve really been referring to myself this whole time. It’s been weird.
Relatable Creative is a production company I started to allow me to work on projects I love with businesses, brands and organisations I believe in.
I was thinking of posting another photo of me with a fake moustache and glasses to try and trick you into thinking I had a large team, but alas the Reject Shop was out of stock. Don’t let my lonely presence here fool you though, I know a few really great people that I get involved when a project requires.
When I’m not producing content for clients here sometimes I’m off being a freelance cinematographer & camera operator for other great companies doing amazing (often larger scale) work. As a wise lyricist once said, “Mix it all together and you know that it's the best of both worlds”.
Other than making things involving cameras I spend my time cooking, eating or thinking about food, sitting in cafes drinking coffee, doing pub trivia, travelling around the countryside and hiking up mountains. Does that mean I’ve crafted a business around my hobbies in order to combine them with my love of photo + film? Yeah look, you got me. Now this next section should make more sense:
We create for those who
Connect
If you create spaces and experiences that connect people, we want to join you. Looking at you tourism & hospitality industries.
Make
Artists and artisans, inventors and innovators. From sculptors to painters, writers to chefs, we want to share your craft.
Empower
If your mission is to elevate those who are disadvantaged, we want to help make a difference.
Sustain
We know that we’ve got a precious planet, and a role to play in protecting it. We want to make the future brighter.
Why Relatable?
Do you ever feel like everything is blending together in our digital world? Like social media has become a homogenous blob of stuff that looks, sounds and feels the same? Yeah us too. There’s a place for lots of types of content, but we’re interested in stuff that actually makes an impact, stands out and we can connect with. We believe in the power of storytelling to drive human connection and create positive change.
Honest
Consistency, honesty and transparency are absolute non-negotiables here. We don’t cut corners and want everyone we work with the leave better for it - from clients to contractors.
Clear
Communication is at the core of everything we do - and not just in the content we create. We make sure that you are kept up to date and know what’s up.
Timely
We know that timelines are important and deadlines matter. We work with you to make sure that achievable timelines are set and met.
How we work with you
We offer full service video production & photography. This means we can take a project from a concept to the point of polished finished product. Whether you’ve got a fully developed idea, or just know you want something captured we can help and do as little or as much as the project calls for.
-
The first step of any project we take on is making sure everyone is on the same page, all stakeholders involved and the goals clearly defined. From here we can define the scope of the project and make sure we’re a good fit.
-
Once we’re full steam ahead, a big part of the process is pre-production. This is where we decide the specifics and lock everything in before we roll into production so we hit the nail on the head.
We think that the “measure twice, cut once” approach is the best way to go!
-
This is where things get exciting. As much as we love all parts of making, pulling out the lights and camera is what we live for, and putting it all together in the edit is a really special process we enjoy.
