Almond Power

A fun video explaining the way Select Harvest Almonds in Wemen, Northern Victoria generate renewable energy using the waste product of their almond production. Not only can they generate all the power they need to run their processing facility and pump water on their neighbouring farms, but they also generate excess electricity they can sell back to the grid and a fertiliser with the waste potash. All this from a waste product that used to be a nuisance to deal with!
